OROKO – USA
The OROKO are not just an Ethnic Group.
They are a Civilization!
Connecting all Orokos across the diaspora, we celebrate our rich cultural heritage from the Meme and Ndian divisions of Cameroon.
The Town Crier of the Digital Age
Several decades ago in the Oroko regions, messages were transmitted by the beating of wooden drums — the Elimbi. Messengers carried the Desungu, a special bundle of sacred leaves, to deliver news between villages and chiefdoms. Today, OROKOUSA.ORG is the Town Crier for every Oroko across America and worldwide — announcing cultural events, celebrating community achievements, and promoting businesses owned by our people.
Explore Our Heritage"If there is one thing to acknowledge of the Orokos besides their rich cultural background and natural intelligence, it is their sense of hospitality."
